Psalm 33:1-12

Therefore, having seen the blessing of the nation whose God is the Lord, we should strive with all of our being to do our part to make our God the Lord of this nation.

• Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, as evidenced in the life of Israel in bondage
  • God had His hand upon them
    • Kept them as a people
    • Provided a leader, Moses
  • God worked through the plagues to free the people
• Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, as evidenced in the life of Israel in her conquests over the enemy
  • Battle against the Canaanites (Numbers 21:1-3)
  • Permission to pass through the land (Numbers 21:21-25)
• Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, as evidenced in the life of Israel in their disobedience (Numbers 14:40-45)
  • Spy had been sent out, but Israel refused to go
  • Upon hearing the judgment, they decided to go, but God was not with them
