There is no question that life gets confusing at times. There may be things that come to pass in our experiences that we just don’t understand, resulting in confusion. We don’t need to dwell on the confusion today; a more productive approach is to consider how we can handle the things that are so hard to understand.
Today’s Scripture speaks to us about the great and precious promises God has made. If they are so desirable, then we want to learn how to benefit from them. There are several ways we can do that.
- Cling to the promise maker
- He is faithful (I Corinthians 10:13)
- We can trust Him
- Cling to the promises
- We need to know what they are
- They are in the Word of God
- Know the different kinds of promises
- Conditional
- Unconditional
- Peace (John 14:27)
- Supply our needs (Philippians 4:19)
- We need to know what they are
- Calculate the results
- Quality in your life (II Peter 1:5-7)
- Blessing from trusting
- Joseph confronts his brothers in Egypt (Genesis 50:20)
- Confidence in the promises
- Joseph was so sure of the promises of God that he made arrangements for his body to be taken back to Israel when the Israelites returned
What do we do when we don’t know what to do? We can cling to the Promise Maker. He is faithful to His words. We can claim the promises as ours, as we submit our lives to the Lord’s keeping. We can see the results of God’s promises and trust Him even more. Our lives will be richer and fuller in the face of it all.
