Heavenly Vision and Earthly Mission

Acts 26:1-32

We have passed over several chapters in Acts which are the description of the manner in which Paul was imprisoned.

We are reminded of the words which the Lord spoke to Ananias when he was called to go minister to Paul.

Acts 9:15 & 16 “Go, for he is a chosen vessel of mine to bear my name before Gentiles, kings, and children of Israel. For I will show him how many things he must suffer for My name’s sake.”

He had been before Gentiles and Jews and now he would enter the third phase, his ministry before rulers. He has already been before Felix and Festus (who succeeded Felix) and now Agrippa.

Acts 26:19 “I have not been disobedient to the Heavenly vision.”

  1. He had an understanding of the will of God.
  2. He had a sense of mission.
  3. He was obedient to His call.

    • Gentiles
    • Kings
