Colossians 4:5-6

Every Christian should guard his conduct carefully.

The Christian has to be careful of two things in his speech: what he says and how he says it. This is especially true of our conduct with non-Christians.

1. Wisdom enables us to know what to say
   • How to respond to the conversation that is off-colored
   • How to speak the positive words of witness
2. Grace enables us to say it in the right way
   • Speak the truth in love
     1. We don’t always have to speak of grace, but always with grace
   • Seasoned with salt – non-corrupting
