Some words we use, while we have a general idea of their meaning, are hard to define when pressed. It is like our president in an interview this week (6/28/1992) being asked to define “elite.” His response: “It’s hard to describe, but I know it when I see it.”
The word delight is something along those lines: hard to describe, but you know it when you see it. Delight means extreme satisfaction!
Because of the provisions God so graciously provides, every person should find his delight (extreme satisfaction) in the Lord.
- We can rest in Him
- A place of refuge
- A place of rest
- We can experience renewal and strength
- Refreshing
- Building/growing
- We can experience God’s supply
- We can abide in Him
- In His courts
- He is provision
- He is our protection
- We can abide in Him
Therefore, every person can find delight (extreme satisfaction) in the Lord.
