Things to keep in mind when reading these words:

• Paul was in prison in Rome
• There was no apparent way in which he was going to be freed

His assurance

I am not ashamed

• Of Gospel
• Of bonds

I am convinced

• He had entrusted everything to the Lord (see Philippians 3:7-11)

When facing challenges and emergencies but having placed our trust in Jesus we need not fear.

I searched for some to stand in the breach.
