John 15:1-8

Meaning of abide – to remain stable, to continue

Synonym – persevere

1. It is a command (verse 4)
   • Because we cannot exist without Christ
   • Any accomplishments will be through Him
   • We are cast off if we do not abide (verse 6)
2. It is a privilege
   • Brings peace into our lives
   • Brings power (verse 7)
   • It is productive – bears much fruit
3. To abide is a continuous experience
   • Obedience (verse 10)
   • Nurtured through love (verse 10)
