Psalm 23
In Psalm 23, we see how David views God from the viewpoint of a shepherd.
- The Lord is my shepherd
- He supplies every need (Psalm 23:2)
- There is no want to them that fear the Lord (Psalm 34:9)
- Guides in daily living (Psalm 23:3)
- Takes away fear (Psalm 23:4)
- The promise is that in the last days, men’s hearts shall fail them for fear of the things coming upon the earth. Not so for Christians
- Gives evidence of blessing before others (Psalm 23:5)
- Supplies all needs to give witness to others of His presence
- Brings healing (anoints head with oil)
- He supplies every need (Psalm 23:2)
A shepherd tends to his flock daily. There are multiple references to Jesus being our shepherd. He will guide us and never forsake us. He meets all our needs.
