Whom Do You Trust?
Through this Scripture, we can have absolute confidence in God to be with us every day to guide our way.
King David penned Psalm 16 under circumstances which we do not know. It may have been when King Saul was pursuing him to kill him, when his son, Absolum, was trying to take the throne, or when he was leading his army into battle.
This Psalm shows us that because of the rich benefits espoused by David, every follower of the Lord can live comfortably.
- God is the source of our life (Psalm 16:1-2)
- He is the One who brought us into being
- He reminds us to whom we should go
- His plea, keep me safe
- He took strength in that knowledge
- He saw God as the place of refuge (Psalm 46:1)
- He saw God as the only source of help (John 6:68)
- God is the choice for our life (Psalm 16:5-8)
- He provides our security
- He is always at our side
- God is the fulfillment of our life (Psalm 16:11)
- He reveals the way we shall go
- He gives us joy in His presence
- He gives assurance of our future
Given all these confidence builders, God is our source, our choice, our fullness. We can live this life with the assurance that He is is the One whom we can trust.
