John 2:13-22

To show through the Scriptures that we have a future because of the resurrection promises.

Because of the assurance of the Bible, every believer should live confidently regarding the resurrection.

• Jesus put His authority on the line by affirming the resurrection (John 2)
  • When challenged by His critics, Jesus made resurrection the single mark of His authority
• Jesus put His reputation on the line by raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11)
  • The conversation (John 11:21-27)
  • The capstone (John 11:41-44)
• Jesus put our future on the line by His resurrection (I Corinthians 15:19-23)
  • Any future we have is dependent on Jesus’ resurrection (John 2:17-19)
  • The assurance of our future (John 2:20-23)

Therefore, every believer should live confidently with respect to our future by way of resurrection.
