Acts 26
A disciple of Jesus Christ is:
- A follower of Jesus Christ, desiring to learn His ways and apply them to his life.
- A person who puts Christ first in all areas of his life.
- Is committed to a life of purity and is taking steps to separate from sin.
- Demonstrates faithfulness and a desire to learn and apply the Word of God to his life.
A disciple has a heart for witnessing, gives his testimony clearly and presents the Gospel regularly with increasing skill.
Evangelism is a lifestyle.
In the early church evangelism was characterized by
- Openly identifying with Jesus (Acts 5:42)
- Demonstrating the fruits of the Spirit (Acts 4:13)
- Actively seeking to influence others toward Christ (Acts 11:19-21)
The importance of testimony Acts 26
- What I was before I met Christ (Acts 26:4-5 and 9-12)
- How I came to know Christ (Acts 26:12-18)
- The benefits of knowing Christ (Acts 26:19-23)
A plan of presenting the Gospel is important so that you will have an organized way of telling the facts without being drawn away from the purpose of reaching a person for Christ.
